From The Archives: Grand in your Hand (+ Diary)

379923_10150576691074899_754431406_nAs 2011 drew to a close we launched an initiative to both boost membership as well as send one lucky member home from the Dundee United match considerably richer than they turned up, £1000 richer to be exact. The draw was for all current trust members, either long term or newly signed up, their membership numbers put in a bucket and at halftime of said match our Chairman Barry Richmond braved the cold and stood in the centre circle with bucket in hand to draw the winning entry.

306673_10151478821009899_1930681168_nStephen Carolan had the winning number and had an extra £1000 that Christmas. Here he is getting his picture taken post match with his prize alongside Trust board members Davie Davidson and Nigel Fitzsimmons.

diary06Also as a bonus this Christmas, here is a nice little item. The Trust diary from 2006 which was on sale for £2 with proceeds going to the Trust.

I am sure it found its way onto a few Killie fans lists for santa list for Santa.

Fantasy Football Returns for its 7th Season

Hi there folks, The Killie Trust fantasy football league on www.fantasy.premierleague.com is open again this year. Now in its 7th year I think we could be heading for its record number of teams. Last year Brian Chambers finished top for the first time, will there be another new champion this year?

The league has been open for just over a week so if you have set up your team for another minileague and were in our league last year I am sure you will have been automatically added.

If not and you are new to all this stuff then click the link to the site above and pick your team, click leagues, then join a league and type in the code below to get the chance to pit your wits against other Killie fans/Trust members.

Season Ticket Winners Revealed

stcomp14-15

The draw for our season ticket competition was made on the newly laid pitch at Rugby Park on Friday. The Trust Chairman seconded management duo Alan Johnston and Gary Locke to pick three names out of the proverbial ‘hat’ to receive a season ticket for the stand of their choice. The first draw was restricted to Trust members only and the lucky winner was Jamie Hume. The rest of the names were then added to the draw and Billy Docherty and Deborah Nagle will be joining Jamie in getting to watch Ayrshire’s finest in the SPFL this season courtesy of the Killie Trust.

Win a 2014-15 Kilmarnock FC Season Ticket!

The Killie Trust, in association with Kilmarnock FC and the Kilmarnock Standard, are giving away three 2014-15 season tickets for Rugby Park.

The lucky winners can choose which stand they want their ticket for and that includes the fantastically priced family ticket for the Moffat Stand. All you have to do is answer the following question…

What year was the Killie Trust founded?

Please send your answers to The Kilmarnock Supporters’ Society Ltd. PO Box 26103, Kilmarnock KA1 1YN, or email your entries to thechairman@killietrust.org.

The competition ends Sunday 6th July and three names will be selected at random from all the correct entries. All Trust members who answer correctly will have their entries submitted twice.

You can join the Trust at www.thekillietrust.wordpress.com.

KillieTrustLiga 6: Fantasy Football Returns

KillieTrustLiga is back for a sixth season, if you don’t know what it is then here is a brief run down. The Killie Trust has played administrator in a mini league on fantasy.premierleague.com site for the past five years. You pick your fifteen players from the English Premier League and week on week gain points due to their performances or lack there of on the park thats just the basics, a full list of the rules is available on the site.

managersYou might think that Gary Hooper’s horrible miss when clean through on Cammy Bell in the league cup final two seasons ago was just a blip and he could fire you to victory by banging them in for Norwich this year. Or you could think that Kenny Shiels was right in his thoughts about Victor Wanyama and steer clear of him for Southampton. Will ex Killie players Steven Naismith or Matthew Kennedy play a prominant role for Martinez’ Everton side, is it worth having a punt on them? Or are you anxiously hoping that Conor Sammon gets a move back to the big league for Hull perhaps and you can slot him into your forward line beside RvP and Aguero?

Over the years we have had some close run contests, but the history books show that Colin Syme won it in its inagural year followed by Greg Wilson in year two. Steven Murray won it the next year and in year four, well in year four we seem to have lost the notes on who won (if it was you or you know who it was please let us know on facebook or twitter). Which brings us to last season and Greg Wilson won his second title, beating David Freeland and Brian Chambers as well as all the rest of us who entered to the title.

WAGNFL_1The league is now live so if you entered last season then when you re register for this season you will be automatically added, if not……here is the official line on how to do it.
